Prof. Dr. H.M. Didi Turmudzi is appointed Chairman of Paguyuban Pasundan (loosely means Sundanese Association), one of the oldest organizations in Indonesia. The Rector of Pasundan University and former General Secretary of PP was inaugurated as the new chairman of PP yesterday through 41st PP congress in Serang, Banten. He will lead PP for the next five years.
PP main interests are education, social, economic, and culture. It runs, among others, schools and universities in West Java. Some Sundanese intellectuals who organized themselves in modern way in order to encourage the development of Sundanese society in particular and Indonesian society in general founded PP on 20 July 1913.***
