Sundanese speaking community describes this special moment as mulud (mU-lUd). This word is derived from Arabic, and we use it mainly to call the third month in Islamic calendar system. This is bulan mulud ‘the month of Prophet’s birthday’.

There is also the word muludan (mU-lU-dAn), meaning the biography of the Prophet as recited during the feast of Mulud.
