A newly published Indonesian version of Gabriel Pacal’s study on Bantenese martial arts of ‘silat’ is soon to be discussed at Pasundan University’s campus in Bandung. The France anthropologist is himself a martial artist, well-trained in a Cimandé school of ‘silat’. The forum is to be convened by Institute for Sundanese Culture (LBS) of Pasundan University.

Gabriel visited the LBS yesterday evening, introducing his book to me and my fellow ‘silat’ lovers. He even joined our weekly exercise in ‘silat’ school of Sera.***
